How to Plan a 30-Day Social Media Content Calendar
By eLeopards Team · 6 Oct 2026 · 5 min read
Consistency is the hardest part of social media. A monthly calendar turns posting from a daily scramble into a routine.
Step 1: choose a few content pillars
Pick three to five themes your audience cares about, such as education, behind the scenes, customer stories, offers and industry news. Every post should fit a pillar.
Step 2: decide your rhythm
Choose a posting frequency you can sustain. Three good posts a week beat daily posts you cannot keep up. Match formats to the platform: short video, carousels, single images and text posts.
Step 3: fill the calendar
- Assign a pillar and format to each slot.
- Mark key dates, launches and holidays relevant to your audience.
- Batch-create content in one or two sessions.
Step 4: write for the first line
Most people decide in a second whether to keep reading or watching. Lead with the hook: a question, a surprising fact or a clear promise.
Step 5: review monthly
Look at which posts earned saves, shares, replies and clicks. Do more of what worked and drop what did not. Treat the calendar as a living plan.
