Brand Identity Is More Than a Logo

By eLeopards Team · 3 Oct 2026 · 4 min read

A logo is one piece of a brand. Identity is the whole system that makes your business recognisable and consistent everywhere people meet it.

What a brand identity includes

  • Logo and its variations for light, dark and small sizes.
  • Colour palette with defined uses.
  • Typography for headings and body text.
  • Imagery and graphic style.
  • Voice and tone: how you sound in writing.
  • Usage rules so anyone on your team applies it correctly.

Why consistency wins

People trust what feels familiar. When your website, social posts, documents and packaging look and sound alike, you appear more established and professional.

Start with positioning

Before choosing colours, decide who you serve, what you stand for and how you are different. Visual choices should express that, not decorate it.

Keep it flexible

Good identities work across a favicon, a social avatar, a letterhead and a billboard. Test your logo at tiny and large sizes, in one colour and on different backgrounds.
